Adding the Widget
- Go to your Mautic Dashboard
- Click Add Widget (or the + button)
- Select Website Analytics from the widget list
- The widget will appear on your dashboard
Widget Sections
The Website Analytics widget is organized into several sections, each providing different insights.Key Metrics Overview
At the top, you’ll see four key metrics:| Metric | Description |

| Sessions | Total number of visitor sessions |
| Bounce Rate | Percentage of single-page sessions |
| Page Views | Total pages viewed across all sessions |
| Pages/Session | Average number of pages per session |
Visitor Identity
Shows the breakdown between:- Identified - Visitors linked to a contact in Mautic
- Anonymous - Visitors not yet identified
Trend Charts
Switch between tabs to view different visualizations:- Sessions Trend - Line chart showing sessions over time
- Bounce Rate Trend - Line chart showing bounce rate over time
- By Hour - Bar chart showing when visitors are most active (0-23 hours)
- By Day - Bar chart showing sessions by day of week
Traffic Sources
Understand where your visitors come from:- Source Engagement - All traffic types with sessions, bounce rate, and average duration
- Search Engines - Top search engines (Google, Bing, etc.)
- Social Networks - Top social platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
- AI Assistants - Traffic from AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.)
- Ad Platforms - Paid traffic sources
Page Performance
See which pages perform best:- Entry Pages - Where visitors start their sessions
- Exit Pages - Where visitors leave your site
- Top Referrers - External domains sending traffic
UTM Attribution
Track your marketing campaigns:- Campaigns - Top UTM campaigns
- Sources - Top UTM sources
- Mediums - Top UTM mediums (email, cpc, social, etc.)
Audience Insights
Know your audience:- Device Types - Desktop, mobile, tablet breakdown
- Operating Systems - Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, etc.
- Languages - Browser language preferences
- Countries - Geographic distribution
Interactive Filtering
Every row in the widget can be clicked to filter the entire widget by that value. How to filter:- Hover over any row to see the filter icon
- Click the icon (or the row) to apply the filter
- All widget data updates to show only matching sessions
- A filter badge appears at the top showing the active filter
- Click the X on the badge to clear the filter
- Click “Organic Search” to see only organic traffic metrics
- Click “Germany” to see only German visitors
- Click a specific UTM campaign to analyze its performance
- Click “Identified” to see metrics for known contacts only
Date Range
The widget respects the dashboard’s date range selector. Change the date range at the top of your dashboard to analyze different time periods. The chart time unit adjusts automatically based on the date range:- 1 day or less - Hourly data points
- Up to 31 days - Daily data points
- Up to 100 days - Weekly data points
- Over 100 days - Monthly data points
